The first series of the World Chinese Medicine Forum - famous doctors of infertility, was successfully held from January to May 2022.
It received enthusiastic responses, and the second series of the "Clinical Expertise of Famous Doctors and Experts" officially launched in June 2022!
The forum was organized by Tianjiang Pharmaceutical, Healoonow and Blue Light.Inc, and co-organized by 17 North American TCM institutions represented by ASA, CSOMA, FSOMA, NCSAAM, NYCT, etc.
World Chinese Medicine Forum is an independent and non-profit academic exchange platform. The purpose of the forum is to pay attention to the latest and frontier development in the historical and modern research field of traditional Chinese medicine, and to serve the academic discussion and development of the industry, in order to serve the academic discussion and development of the industry.
The first series of wonderful recaps
In the first series of forums, two top infertility experts, Professor Tan Yong and Professor Wang Biqin, gave five lectures on both academic and clinical practice to Chinese physicians and acupuncturists around the world.
Professor Tan Yong is the director of the Department of Gynecology Teaching and Research of the First Clinical Medical College of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the director of the Reproductive Medicine Department of Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine). With the theme of "Comprehensive Application of Chinese Medicine and Assisted Reproductive Medicine", she brought professional and practical knowledge of infertility Chinese medicine to North American acupuncturists.
Professor Wang Biqin, who is under the tutelage of the famous contemporary doctor Guo Zhiqiang, is a famous gynecological expert in China and the director of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She introduced the application of Guo's TCM infertility treatment in detail for North American acupuncturists by giving four lectures, which are "Four-step Treatment of Infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine Characteristics for a Century", "Treatment of Ovulation Disordered Infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine", "Advantages of Guo's Four-step Therapy in the Application of IVF" and "Advantages of Guo's Four-step Therapy in the Application of IVF".
The wonderful courses and bilingual live broadcasts have attracted more than 1,000 TCM practitioners around the world to participate. They came from 14 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Indonesia, and China, of which 70% were non-Chinese.
The second series officially kicked off
On June 18, 2022, 20:00-22:00 Eastern Time, the first phase of the second series of World Chinese Medicine Forum, entitled "Methods and Advantages of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Treating New Crown Sequelae" lectured by Professor Wang Xianbo arrived as scheduled.
During the two-hour lecture, Professor Wang first introduced the multiple, diverse, multi-systemic, persistent, and complex characteristics and symptoms of the sequelae of COVID-19, as well as the effective experience of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of epidemic diseases and their sequelae. Then, he focused on the treatment principles of the sequelae of the new coronary pneumonia in detail, and the mental and emotional changes caused by the sequelae of the new coronary pneumonia patients should be paid attention to in the actual treatment.
The second lecture of the second series was held from 20:00 to 22:00 p.m. Eastern Time on July 16 (EST).
This lecture invited Dr. Li Xiumin, MD, professor of Department of Microbiology and Immunology and Department of Otolaryngology of New York Medical College, visiting scientist of Stanford University, and postdoctoral researcher of clinical immunology of Johns Hopkins University as the keynote speaker.
Professor Li Xiumin has long been engaged in the research of immune system and allergic diseases. He has successfully extracted active ingredients from traditional Chinese herbal medicines to treat asthma, food allergies and other allergic diseases, and has achieved innovative results recognized by the industry.
Dr. Li Xiumin gave a keynote report on "Traditional Chinese Medicine for Allergy and inflammation: from research and practice perspective". She pointed out that Chinese medicine has the potential to be safe and effective in the treatment of food allergies and eczema.
She introduced the triple TCM therapy including oral administration, medicated bath and cream in detail, and shared the clinical experience of acupuncture and moxibustion in reducing the size of atopic dermatitis apoplexy, skin itching, and basophil activation. The content is splendid, so that the participating acupuncturists have benefited a lot, and it has a strong guiding significance for clinical practice!
